Marinette is in love with Adrien Agreste, a classmate and popular model. From the very first episode, her crush on Adrien is evident, although she is extremely shy and awkward around him. She makes numerous efforts to get closer to him and confess her feelings, but her attempts are often hindered by her nervousness.
As Ladybug, Marinette works closely with Chat Noir (who is actually Adrien, although neither of them knows each other’s true identity). Chat Noir is in love with Ladybug, but Marinette, as Ladybug, often rebuffs his advances, not wanting to mix their superhero lives with their personal ones.
Throughout the seasons, Marinette’s feelings become more complex. She learns to balance her responsibilities as Ladybug with her romantic life. Her attachment to Adrien remains central, but her relationship with Luka allows her to explore another form of affection.
