Snow White is a famous fictional character from the popular fairy tale Snow White (“Schneewittchen” in German), which was popularized by the Brothers Grimm in their collection of fairy tales in 1812. In this story, Snow White is a princess of great beauty, with skin as white as snow, hair as black as ebony, and lips as red as blood. Her stepmother, jealous of her beauty, tries to kill her multiple times after consulting a magic mirror that tells her Snow White is the fairest of them all.

Snow White eventually finds refuge in the home of seven dwarfs who take her in and protect her. The queen ultimately succeeds in poisoning her with an apple, but Snow White is saved by a prince who awakens her with a kiss.

The story of Snow White has been adapted many times, most notably by Disney in 1937 in the animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which significantly contributed to its global popularity.
